SAD

Seasonal Affective Disorder. Characterized by sleeping too much, lack of energy and a generally depressed feeling. Yup, I have that. What the hell Chicago, quit jerking me around… one day you’re hot (Monday 93 degrees) and the next you’re cold - very very cold and windy (54 degrees).

While I am in need of some serious vitamin D your bipolar weather disorder requires much more serious treatment and needs to be addressed before you put a serious damper on my early summer plans. Luckily, I have an escape planned to AZ for the long Memorial Day weekend. Hang in there Chicago friends!

Yup, I am twenty-eight.

So… it’s day one of my twenty-eighth year. At least I look younger than my little sister. Blame it on the sunscreen and the miserable summer days spent in the ophthalmologists office filing medical records as opposed to outside next to the un-shaded pool with the cranky children we traded off watching for $7.50 and hour. Don’t get me wrong, those were the good old days when driving to our summer jobs was our biggest responsibility and the promise of a sunny beach weekend with friends lurked around the corner.
